Learn the basic science, method and techniques of cheesemaking from a professional dairy processor in a farm kitchen. This course will give you a solid understanding about cheese making with a focus on the semi-firm mesophilic cheese family where curds are cut, washed, heated, pitched and hooped under whey. This course focuses on Farmstead Gouda from goat milk. Bring a lunch and snacks. This is a 6 hour course that combines theory and practice. Date: Saturday August 22, 2026 Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
